What makes a winery stand out to you?
If you are like me and love to go wine tasting as much as you can, wineries can sometimes blend together if they don’t have something special about them.
Akash Winery in Temecula California is stamped with personal touches everywhere you look.
Located on 20 acres, just off the main road, Akash Winery is a family dream come to life. Owned and operated by Akash Patel and his father Ray, the two are big believers in vision boards and have been planning on opening a winery together for a long time.
While the property is not even complete or open to the public yet, you can still book an appointment to taste their wines now!
The Wine
What I love about Akash is that he puts his spin on everything. All the wines at Akash Winery are estate grown and come in bottles that have been designed by Akash himself.
Let me just tell you that not only are the wines delicious, but the packaging is so fun!! For those in the millennial generation, Akash has made a smart move in making these bottles unique because I have so many friends that choose their wine based on cool bottles and labels.

Atmosphere
Tasting at Akash Winery sort of feels like you are having a block party with your neighbors. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and even corn hole to play.
Inside, there are benches and tables leading up to the tasting bar that overlooks the fermentation tanks. I love getting to taste in rooms that are also a working facility because it makes you feel like you are a part of the wine making process.
Soon they will be breaking ground on an onsite hotel that will be nestled in the vines and overlooking the tasting room. I can’t wait to see the winery when it is complete because I’ll be able to say, “I was there before it all opened!”
Akash was so kind and showed us all around the property. It was really exciting to hear about all the things they have in store and so inspirational for someone (like me) who would love to open their own winery some day!!
