Sausage Rolls Appetizer
A super easy, savory appetizer that is perfect for any holiday party or gathering!

- 1 Shallot finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic finely chopped
- 1 lb ground sausage spicy or mild
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1/4 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp red pepper powder
- 1 tsp fresh sage leaves finely chopped
- 1 box frozen puff pastry dough thawed
- 1 egg beaten for egg wash
Sautee shallot and garlic over medium heat for about 3 min
Combine sauteed ingredients with ground sausage, bread crumbs, powders, sage and black pepper for taste in a large bowl
Cut puff pastry sheet in half, diagonally
Form a log of sausage meat about a penny in diameter
Brush one side with egg wash and fold the puff over, crimping with a fork to close.
Cut the log into 1in pieces and transfer to a baking sheet
Brush with egg wash and cut a whole in the tops of the rolls
Bake for 25-30 min until golden brown
